I find it interesting when you said that sediment build-up can cause cracks and holes in the bottom of the tank. That might be the cause of the leaks we have been having in the system that we've had for almost a decade now. Now, we already need to look for water heater repair solutions here in Clarksdale, Arizona as early as possible tomorrow morning to prevent damage in our basement.
